Our desire at Taylor Creek Church is for young people to become committed followers of Jesus Christ by leading them to a saving knowledge of Him, helping them grow in their relationship with Him, and finding the place He has for them to serve. Romans 12:1-2 “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Meetings and Events

The Lord has provided us an invaluable gift in the Bible. Knowing this, our 2019 Summer Camp, IGNITE, will challenge the students to be “doers of the word” (James 1:22), and to have a passion to make the Scriptures the foundation of how they think, speak and act. By His grace, we can accomplish what He has commanded us to do. Join us for some outdoor fun, engaging fellowship, and spiritual growth as we pursue the Lord Jesus Christ and dig into the Scripture!

When: July 7-11
Cost: $220/person – Money and forms due 6/30 – Click here for registration form
Where: Camp Lakeview

Sunday School: Junior High and High School meet at 9 am to study God’s word. Come join us as we learn the incredible depths of Scripture, and how we should respond in living out our faith. Our current series is a study of the book of Romans. By faith in Him, Christ is our righteousness. Because of our salvation, how should we then live? We will look at the theology in Romans, and learn how to connect the dots with how we think, speak and act. If your student would like to purchase a Journible, this would allow them to copy down the Scripture while having a place to take notes from the lessons. You can click here to purchase the Journible on Amazon.

Thursday Nights: Junior High and High School meet together from 6 pm to 8 pm for a time of fellowship, games/activities and the study of God’s Word. We are in the middle of a series entitled  “20 Questions“. 1 Peter 3:15 teaches that the believer is to always be ready “to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence.” As we share the Gospel of Christ, we must be prepared to answer challenging and legitimate questions that people will ask, such as “If God is loving, why is there suffering in the world?” We have confidence that the Scripture is sufficient to answer all questions about life, faith and conduct (Ps 19:7, 2 Tim 3:16-17). What are the most common questions asked of a believer? Come on Thursday nights and join us as we dig into the Bible to prepare for these Gospel opportunities.

Q&A Pizza Nights/Events: On the last Thursday of each month, we have a $3 dollar pizza night, and the lesson will be on a hot topic that students want to address. This is a great opportunity to bring friends who want to learn how the Bible applies to all areas of life.
